The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The sheet undulates slightly due to the nature of the medium. The upper edge slightly uneven. The extreme upper sheet edge with a repaired horizontal tear (approx. 9 cm. long). Some tiny tears and nicks along the left sheet edge. Diagonal flattened creases at both upper and the lower-right sheet corners. A diagonal line of surface abrasion towards the upper-right corner. A few foxmarks, handling marks and imperfections to the sheet in places. Mount- and light-staining. The reverse with skinning and some adhesive remnants. A pencil inscription by another hand.
