The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. A short repaired tear (approx. 1.5 cm. long) at the centre-left edge with an associated paper patch at the reverse, and a few further nicks at the extreme edges elsewhere. Three spots of discolouration to the sheet: one corresponding to the aforementioned patch, and two corresponding to old hinges at the corners. A few diagonal creases at the upper-left corner, one at the lower-left corner and a short crease at the lower-right corner. A few further soft handling creases elsewhere. Mount- and light-staining. A few tiny foxmarks, mostly visible on the reverse. Some surface dirt and the centre-left edge with two spots of adhesive remnants. The reverse sheet with mounting tape remnants in places. The pencil is strong.
