The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour on buff paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The edges slightly uneven and with minor nicks in places. The upper-right and lower-left corners made-up. A few short, skilfully repaired tears backed with Japan paper at the reverse, mostly at the corners and one or two at the extreme edges. Mount- and minor light-staining. The reverse left and right edges with areas of skinning. The pigments are fresh.
