Provenance
From the artist's personal collection, according to an inscription on the back of the frame: 'Cette épreuve encadré de l'eau forte "Boulevard Van Iseghem à Ostende" provient de l'atelier d'Ensor. C'est son épreuve personnelle, ella a été colorée par lui à l'époque. Originallement elle enveloppait le cuivre.'
