Rythme couleur

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache on wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The left sheet edge irregular, consistent with stemming from the artist's sketchbook. A few hairlines of craquelure in the more thickly applied black pigments. Some studio stains, predominantly towards the left edge. Very minor mount-staining and a small spot of discolouration at the centre of the right sheet edge. Some soft handling creases. The pigments are strong and fresh. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.
