Gouache and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The left sheet edge slightly irregular, consistent with stemming from the artist's sketchbook, and with some studio stains.Some craquelure and a few associated small pigment losses in the thickly painted leftmost red and light-green elements. Some soft handling creases. Minor mount-staining and a few tiny foxmarks towards the lower left corner. The pigments are strong and fresh. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
