The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the full sheets
- the sheets slightly warped
- the title pages, one with minor staining below, the other one pale stained
- some soft folds and handling creases in places, especially on Blue Venus (due to the differrent, thinner paper)
- the orignal linen covered portfolio showing some dust and wear in places, including scuffs, remains of adhesive and soft creases
