The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- pale mount staining, pale mat staining on the reverse
- occasional pinpoint foxing and minor surface soiling (primarily in the margins)
- a soft horizontal creasing at the right sheet edge (4,5 cm.) and some soft creases along the margins (mainly lower right), some soft skinning in places in the margins and at the reverse upper sheet edges (due to previous hinging)
- hinged to the mount at the upper sheet edges on the reverse, with adhesive tape
