The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the colours fresh
- the full sheet, a deckle edge at right
- some creases and occasional discolouration along the extreme sheet edges, mainly upper and lower edges, some soft handling creases in the lower right corner
- a few occasional scuffs on the brown
- a pale vertical stripe of surface dirt on the left of the yellow image, pale backboard staining, minor surface soiling at the upper left corner on the reverse
