The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue description:
- with wide margins, the sheet has presumably been trimmed slightly on all sides.
- a short repaired tear at the left sheet edge, approx. 15 mm.
- other minor repairs and staining verso at the sheet edges. The sheet has presumably been removed from an old backboard, where it was stuck down. With minor associated skinning and some thin spots.
- a horizontal, flattened crease in the upper margin.
- pale light-staining, some pale pinpoint foxmarks
