The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet
- the sheet slightly toned, occasional pale time staining at the extreme sheet edges in places
- occasional soft and unobtrusive handling creases in the margins and at the sheet edges in places
- tipped to a support sheet at the upper sheet edge on the reverse (a paler area slightly showing through recto)
