Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The giltwood base is beautifully carved, it has the typical expected minor scattered tiny chips, very small losses to carving and gilt surfaces in some places revealing gesso, bole, and bare wood as to be expected with age and use. The floral and fruit garland on the proper left side has an old glue repair on one side. The associated marble top with some scattered minor surface marks and scratches, commensurate with use. Overall a lovely console.
