The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The work is not varnished or lined. There is a small dent to the blue passage above the white pigment, which is barely visible. There is minor lines of rubbing in places, to the upper right vertical edge, the lower right corner and to the upper left quadrant. There is a fly spot and associated minor rubbing to the centre right. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
