The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound, and all elements are present. There is a superficial layer of dust, most notably to the crevices of the ears. There are a few areas with minor loss of coloured dust cloth and variations in texture, in keeping with the artist’s choice of medium. There are a few scattered pinpoint losses in places, only visible under very close inspection. The work was recently restored to the ear in consultation with the artist’s expert. There is some minor oxidation and rusting in places to the stand, in keeping with the nature of the medium. Subject to the foregoing it is our view that the work is in generally overall good condition. The work is accompanied by an iron stand.
