Lot Essay

The apollo 14 command and service modules are being mated to the spacecraft LM adaptor (SLA) at the Manned Spacecraft Centre integrated work stand. This operation completes the mating of the 365 ft. tall Saturn V launch vehicle. From the Vehicle Assembly Building it will be moved via the crawler to the launch complex 2 ½ miles away.
