The STS-41B mission specialist, Astronaut Bruce McCandless II is pictured opposite the cabin of the Earth-orbiting space shuttle Challenger. This is the first ever spacewalk that didn’t use tethers, but a hand-controlled device called the Manned Manoeuvring Unit (MMU) fuelled by nitrogen.

Overall excellent condition with signs commensurate with age, noting minor scratches and indentations primarily at the top of the recto. The verso is in comparable condition with two stain specks at the top of the page however these are not easily noticed and are not visible from the recto.
