[LARGE FORMAT] GEMINI VII SPACECRAFT DURING RENDEZVOUS, DECEMBER 15-16, 1965
This picture of the Gemini 7 spacecraft was taken by the Gemini 6 crew in orbit during the rendezvous. The golden adapter section of the spacecraft can be seen against the cloudy background covering the view of Earth.
“We reviewed the pictures after we got back. When we saw their clarity—the lighting, the Sun angle, and everything—we realized that they described it very well. The mission will be there in history forever.” Thomas Stafford (Schick and Van Haaften, p. 50)

Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition with signs commensurate with age, noting bumped corners and margins, creases and scratches on the recto. There are two lines on the right side of the image that are residue from adhesive often seen on labels and stickers. On the verso there is staining, the creases seen on the recto are visible from the verso, and there are areas of abrasion where the paper is thinner as a result. The photograph has a visible curl to it but it is likely that this won’t be visible once framed.
