An atlas booster launched an agena target vehicle at 10:00 a.m. EST, March 16, 1966 from complex 14, Cape Kennedy, Florida. Gemini 8 astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, command pilot, and David R. Scott, pilot, will be launched from complex 19 by a titan booster. The national aeronautics and space administration will attempt to archive the first rendezvous and docking of the agena and Gemini 8 spacecraft in Earth orbit.
