Lot Essay

The official emblem for the Apollo 17 lunar landing mission designed by artist, Robert T, McCall, and the astronauts Eugene A. Cernan, Ronald E. Evans and Harrison H. Schmitt. On the left of the emblem there is Apollo, the Greek sun god, with the American flag stripes behind the head. The three stars represent the three astronauts with the moon, Saturn and a galaxy seen in the background.
