Gemini 11 (Gemini XI) was the ninth crewed spacecraft mission of the Gemini series. The objectives included an orbit rendezvous and the docking of the Agena target vehicle in order to complete Extravehicular Activity and tethered operations with astronauts Charles Conrad and Richard Gordon. Gemini 11 was launched on September 12, 1966 and lasted three days. This photograph shows the view of the Sinai Peninsula from space.
