The bust with a gilt inscription 'THE RIGHT HONOURABLE / MARGARET THATCHER M.P. / PRIME MINISTER' and to the back 'Number 1 / in a Limited Edition of 500 / Wedgwood England', the plate painted with a portrait of Margaret Thatcher and inscribed to the back 'The Rt. Hon. / Mrs Margaret Thatcher / F.R.S., M.P. / Member of Parliament / 8th October 1959 / Leader of the Conservative Party / 11th February 1975 / Prime Minister / 4th May 1979 / Second General Election Victory / 9th June 1983 / Third General Election Victory / 11th June 1987 / Anniversary of ten years as Prime Minister / 4th May 1989/ A LIMITED EDITION OF 2,500, NUMBER 1', the goblet engraved with a portrait of Margaret Thatcher to one side, and 'Big Ben' to the other, with the inscription 'THE RT. Lot Essay

The bust, which is numbered 1 from a limited edition of 500 and is from a sculpture by the renowned artist Oscar Nemon (1906-1985), who was responsible for many important sculptures, including that of Sir Winston Churchill which stands near the sculpture of Margaret Thatcher at the door to the House of Commons.
