Lot Essay

The Grand Hotel Brighton, was attacked by the provisional IRA on the morning of 12 October 1984, whilst many Conservative politicians were staying there for the Conservative Party Conference. Despite five people losing their lives and many more being injured, the conference opened as planned later that morning. The hotel was refurbished, reopening on 28 August 1986.
Nether Lypiatt is the former Gloucestershire home of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
