Mrs Thatcher once famously said of Mikhail Gorbachev, President of the Soviet Union, 'I like Mr Gorbachev, we can do business together'. Mrs Thatcher was photographed with Gorbachev, whilst wearing the houndstooth suit, during his 1989 visit to Britain, including whilst giving a speech on the steps of No 10. Downing Street .
