This guitar was gifted to Vince Gill by George Strait in 2014 after they performed together at AT Stadium for the final performance of Strait's final tour, "The Cowboy Rides Away". This performance on June 7, 2014 in Arlington, Texas had record-setting attendance, boasting over 100,000 people. Gill sang Lovebug and Does Ft. Worth Ever Cross Your Mind with Strait, and then joined Strait and his other special guests (Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, Sheryl Crow, Eric Church, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, and Kenny Chesney) for three encore songs: All My Ex's Live In Texas, Folsom Prison Blues and The Cowboy Rides Away.
Vince has won 9 Academy of Country Music Awards and has been nominated for a total of 42.
