The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition. Work was inspected without a frame. Slightly undulated canvas, visible only upon certain angles of inspection. Slightly abraded corners and edges. Stable and fine hairline cracks and craquelures on paint surface. Slightly dusty and dirty surface. Negligible pinpoint white marks scatter occasionally on paint surface. Tiny white fibre accretions and brownish accretions scatter occasionally on paint surface. A few horizontal scratches could be seen on the upper middle. Minor and stable crushed impasto tips could be observed only upon very close inspection, occasionally associated with pinpoint paint losses. When examined under UV light, no apparent retouching shows.
