The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work was inspected out of frame. Very light undulation across the composition, which is consistent with the artist’s choice of medium. There are crayon and ink marks in all four corners to indicate framing borders, presumably by the artist’s hand. Light foxing on the surface can be observed throughout the composition. Negligible crackling on a ca. 4 x 6 cm. area to the left of the figures. There are two minor paint losses in the lower left quadrant. It is in our opinion that the work is in good condition.
