This manuscript generally presents as being a clean copy. The green used in some of the frames has slightly corroded through the paper. The illuminated panels are generally very clean. There are some areas of minor staining in the margins which slightly affect the text panel in one occasion. The third fly leaf is trimmed along its margin.The gilt stamped doublures are slightly scuffed in places with minor areas of staining but otherwise in good condition. They have probably been regilded. The lacquer covers are slightly scuffed around their border with some a small number of small flakes on the surface. It is possible that the lacquer cover and the stamped doublures were part of the original manuscript but restored later in Europe hence the later black gilt and stamped morocco European spine.
