The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There is general age-related surface wear, including a few tiny chips and nicks to the extremities, some of which have been polished down slightly.
-There are areas to the base and to the mouth rim which have been polished down, probably to conceal chips.
-There are a few natural fissures and flaw lines.
