Close in style and technique to a drawing of Saint Bruno in prayer previously in the Geiger collection (see Sotheby's, London, 7-10 December 1920, lot 286) and to a sheet showing a Jewish priest, used for a figure in Salimbeni's fresco showing Esther and Ahasuerus in the Duomo, Siena (see M. Ciampolini, Drawing in Renaissance and Baroque Siena. 16th- and 17th-Century Drawings from Sienese Collections, exhib. cat., Georgia, Georgia Museum of Art and elsewhere, 2002-2003, no. 24, ill.).
