拍品專文

Although the rendering of the flowers and the black background are close to gouaches by Barbara Regina Dietzsch, the attribution to the artist was rejected in 1998 by Dr Heidrun Ludwig (see provenance). Dr Ludwig suggested that the present works might be compared to works by Christoph Bayer, Joseph Karell and August Johann Rösel von Rosenhof, but she also pointed out that the works cannot be securely attributed to these artists and suggested an attribution so a member of the Agricola family with a date of circa 1770 instead.
