拍品專文

The rendering of the cow with fine brushstrokes and grey wash is characteristic for Van Bloemen. It may be compared to a drawing showing a goat executed in a similar technique in the Pushkin Museum, Moscow (inv. 13330; see V. Sadkov et al., Netherlandish, Flemish and Dutch drawings of the XVI-XVIII centuries. Belgian and Dutch drawings of the XIX-XX centuries, Moscow, 2010, no. 56, ill.) and to a sheet showing a horse, also drawn with the point of the brush, in Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, Munich (inv. 2000; see W. Wegner, Die Niederländischen Handzeichnungen des 15.-18 Jahrhunderts, Berlin 1973, I, no. 533, ill., as Karel Dujardin).
