The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been quite firmly relined and is providing a stable support for the picture. There is a fine pattern of craquelure to the paint surface and an even surface gloss. The integrity of the drawing is well preserved and the composition as a whole reads well. 
The examination under UV shows scattered retouching through the landscape and sky, with more concentrated areas in the building far left, the sky upper left, and in the trees.
