The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Well developed greenish-brown patina. The marble base with surface dirt and nibbles at the edges. Chips near the bottom on the tail side. On the bronze figure, reattachment of the horse's proper right foreleg. Transecting crack in the horse's left foreleg and an adjacent deep scratch above. Crack in the horse's left back leg. Rubbing on the high points. Crack in the horse's tail close to the top, possibly repaired. Spur holes on the back of the saddle and proper left leg. Surface dirt present. Some separation and rubbing at the joint of the right arm.
