This painting is executed on a uniformly thin sheet of copper. The paint layer is stable under a clear varnish. There is very minor frame abrasion along the extreme edges, but this is hidden by the rabbet of the frame. Hairline retouches to the sky and background are visible in ultraviolet light. Further inspection under ultraviolet light was hindered by an opaque and unevenly applied varnish. The painting is in good condition and is offered in a gilt wood frame.
