This three-piece panel is held together by a heavy cradle and remains even. Restoration to the vertical panel joins is visible in natural light, with some natural abrasion to the thinner glazes, such as in the face, the background and the black brocade of the dress. Ultraviolet examination confirms the above and reveals smaller, delicate areas of retouching in the girl’s face, such as near the nose, mouth and left eye. The artist’s delicate treatment of the figure’s face, hand, and expressive brushwork of the costume remain highly appreciable.
