The arrow carver

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel is a made up of a single oak board, bevelled to the edges. The panel is stable. The modelling and detailing of the composition seem to be relatively well preserved. In natural light some tenting can be seen with a small associated loss in the bottom left of the painting. Examination in UV light reveals some minor scattered retouching; further detailed commentary is impared by a yellowed varnish.
