This painting is executed on an uncradled panel of vertical grain with beveling along all four sides. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish. In natural light, a small area of retouching in the lower right quadrant near the woman's proper left shoulder is visible. Retouchingto the crux of her proper left elbow and to her skirt are visible. Restoration to address earlier frame abrasion along the edges is evident. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the presence of the aforementioned restorations and further scattered small areas of retouching. The painting presents well and can be hung in its present state. The work is offered in a simple carved wood frame.
