The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This painting is executed on a panel comprised of a single board with a horizontal grain. The paint layer is stable under a clear varnish, that has yellowed slightly with age. In natural light a few restored loss over the rocky landscape at left to the right of the curving tree trunk. There is an area of damage and a small loss in the rocky outcropping at lower right. There is mild frame abrasion and associated repairs at the extreme edges, but these are usually hidden by the rabbet of the frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light is hindered by an opaque varnish. The painting presents well and is offered in a Dutch style frame.
