The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This single-piece panel has a slight horizontal bow but remains stable. Some loses are visible along the edges of the panel, particularly in the upper centre, associated with frame wear. Ultraviolet examination reveals scattered restoration to the sky and a streaky varnish, with the painting largely remaining in a very good state of preservation overall.
