The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each landscape is painted on a single piece panel which are uncradled and seemingly in very good condition. Examination in raking light reveals both paintings to have an even craquelure that have been extensively infilled. Inspection under ultra violet fluorescence confirms this and reveals some individual retouchings to both, predominently to areas that needed strengthening such as to part of the red coat of the central figure on horseback. Each in giltwood frames in very good condition.
