The panel is made up of two boards vertically joined, and is bevelled to each edge. There is a small square joint to the upper centre supporting the panel join. The panel remains stable. Examination in natural light shows some restoration along the vertical panel join. There are some minor frame abrasions to the edges of the panel. There has been some slight thinning to the upper paint glazes. Examination under UV light confirms the aforementioned restoration.There has been some scattered retouching to the darker detailing of the work. There has been some retouching to the background especially in the upper left corner. There is a thick varnish that precludes further examination. The paint is stable. The detailing of the composition remains fully appreciable.
