The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The stone support remains intact and provides very good support for the picture. There is a small loss to the angel’s upper chest, visible in the illustration. The examination under UV reveals a few minor strengthenings to the angel. Overall the picture is in fine condition, with the colours well preserved and the detail of the drawing appreciable.
