The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been quite firmly relined and is providing a stable support for the picture. The varnish maintains an even gloss. 
The picture presents well overall, with the flesh tones in particular well preserved. There is some thinness in the darker tones, to the hair and the background for example, where some of the ground layer can be seen. The examination under UV shows some scattered retouching, with a few possible repairs to minor scuffs/tears in the upper right background.
