In good overall condition, with a dark brown patina. With the expected light nicks, marks and surface abrasions. With some rubbing to raised areas, and variations to the surface patina. The tail cast seperately and probably original. With a drilled hole to the center of his back and underside of stomach. Black marble base with some light surface scratching and multiple chipped losses. The underside with two paper inventory labels 'Treasures Art Institute of ChicagoL 196.61, Alsdorf,' and for Mathais Komor, New York.
