The canvas has been laid down on panel. There is a small split (approx. 5 cm.) to the left left edge of panel (as viewed from the reverse). There are two further minor losses to the edge of the panel. The paint surface is stable.
Examination under ultra violet light reveals retouching to the neck and robe with some infilling associated to the craquelure in the face and some minor strengthening to the edge of the panel.
