The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas been strip-lined, and the old unrestored tacking holes are visible along the edges. Black tape has been applied to the edges of the stretcher. There are two irregular-shaped impact damages with associated paint losses: the first to the landscape upper left; the second to the foreground to the foreground, lower left. Otherwise the paint surface is stable.
Examination under ultraviolet light is largely obscured by the thick and uneven old varnish layers.
