The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Generally in good, stable and well preserved condition overall. Some old inactive woodworm overall. With some vertical shrinkage cracks, particualry to the top of the virgin’s head and proper right part of her forehead extending into her eye, along the proper left shoulder of th child extending down in to the stomach, and on th proper left shoulder of the virgin including her veil and the robes of her left sleeve. Also, with a more recent shrinkage crack just above the virgins proper left wrist down through the childs foot to the base. Another crack to the base near the child’s proper right gfoot. With exensive rubbing and flaked osses to painted and gilt decoration overall. With some retouching overall, and some losses. POsisble replacemebt or cracked repair to top of child’s head. With a plugged ddrilled hole ot the top of the virgin’s head.
