Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall very good condition. With rubbing to the gilding overall but retains much of a possibly original gilding. With a cracked repair to the tip of his club. The repair to the tip of club in lead is probably a later replacement. There is an old cracked repair to his proper left arm at the shoulder. The fig leaf appears to be later. Additional small casting flaws such as cracks to the back of his proper left leg. The screws are evident on the underside of his feet. Attached to a later verde antico base.
