The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is supported on the reverse with a glue lining. The paint is stable on the support. Under natural light the varnish is slightly cloudy. A fine craquelure is visible in the sky and in some places in the landscape. Under ultraviolet light, strengthening fluoresces in the upper left corner as well as over scattered touches in the sky at center and in a few more concentrated areas at upper center. A 1 by 5 inch area fluoresces at center right along with additional scattered touches scattered touches here and there. The painting maybe displayed as is.
