Professor Nicola Spinosa, to whom we are grateful, has on the basis of photographs proposed possible attributions to Bernardo Cavallino or Antonio de Bellis, placing the work in the 1640s, in the wake of the models that emerged between the classicism and pictorialism of Massimo Stanzione.
